Radon is a radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer over long exposure. It’s common in Indiana, especially in basements and crawl spaces. Slab-on-grade homes should also be tested. We use professional-grade detectors to test levels over 48+ hours, then install a mitigation system if needed. It’s cost-effective compared to the health risks it prevents.

How much does concrete lifting cost in Indianapolis?
Most of our poly foam lifting jobs run $850 to $5,000, depending on how many slabs are lifted, how far they’ve dropped and how much void there is to fill underneath. National cost guides put foam lifting at about $5 to $25 a square foot. A single sunken walk or step sits at the low end; a driveway, patio and walks together sit at the high end.
How much does radon mitigation cost in Indianapolis?
Our radon mitigation projects typically run $1,500 to $3,500 or more, with homes that need more than one suction point, a sealed crawl space membrane or a long pipe route to get the vent above the roof at the upper end. Basements, slabs and crawl spaces are each handled differently, and the test results and the inspection decide the design.
What radon level needs fixing?
The EPA’s guidance is to fix your home if radon is 4 pCi/L or higher, and to consider fixing it between 2 and 4 pCi/L. We test with professional-grade detectors over 48 hours or more, and design a system only if the levels warrant it.
Polyurethane foam or mudjacking?
Both lift a sunken slab by filling the void underneath it. Mudjacking pumps in a heavy cement slurry; poly foam is far lighter, so it adds little weight to the soft soil that let the slab sink in the first place, and it cures fast. National cost guides put mudjacking at about $3 to $6 a square foot and foam at about $5 to $25.
Can every sunken slab be lifted?
No. Lifting works on a slab that sank in one piece and is still sound. A slab that is broken into pieces, crumbling, or heaved upward usually needs replacing, and if water running under it caused the sinking, the downspout or drainage needs fixing too or it will settle again.
